World Allergy Week is an annual initiative of the World Allergy Organization (WAO). The WAO established this initiative with the goal of bringing together different groups for an integrated approach to addressing the needs of patients who suffer from allergic diseases and asthma and those who provide care for them.
This year’s theme is focused on Atopic Dermatitis/Eczema: An Itch that Rashes.
Our own Dr. Stanley Fineman is a board member of the WAO which encourages collaboration between individuals and organizations around the world who have expertise in the diseases associated with airway allergies and asthma. These organizations have a shared goal of reducing the overall global burden of these diseases.
