Atlanta Allergy & Asthma is pleased to partner with The American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the Allergy & Asthma Network as they host an event with the Atlanta Hawks Basketball team. Free asthma and allergy screenings will be offered at Philips Arena as the Hawks take on the New York Knicks on November 8th.
As Atlanta hosts the National Scientific Meeting of The American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI), several organizations will come together to raise awareness for these life changing conditions. Asthma symptoms affect an estimated 26 million Americans and are one of the leading causes of work and school absences. Additionally, allergies are a major cause of illness in the United States. As many as 50 million people—about one in five—have allergies.
Visit Philips Arena on November 8th as the Hawks take on the New York Knicks. The free asthma and allergy screenings will be conducted by allergy and asthma specialists and will begin at 5:30pm.
