Update on Shortage of Epinephrine Auto-Injectors

Updated on Thursday, May 10, 2018

The national shortage of some epinephrine auto-injectors continues. There have reports of patients having trouble filling their prescriptions for EpiPen and the approved generic version of these auto-injectors. Now is a good time to check the expiration date on your device and plan accordingly. If you have trouble filling your prescription, please contact your Atlanta Allergy & Asthma office for options.

Mylan, the maker of EpiPen, has issued a statement and is encouraging patients who are experiencing difficulty obtaining the EpiPens to contact Mylan Customer Relations at 800.796.9526 for assistance. Read this update from FARE for more information.
