Dennis L. Spangler, M.D.



Dennis L. Spangler received his bachelor’s degree Cum Laude at the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio.  He earned his medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio.  Dr. Spangler interned at the Shands Teaching Hospital, where he was Intern of the Year, and completed his residency in Pediatrics.  He completed a fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the Shands Teaching Hospital at the University of Florida.

Dr. Spangler is Board Certified by both the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics.  He is a past member of the Board of Regents of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and is Past President of the American Association of Certified Allergists.  He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.  Dr. Spangler served as Chief Medical Office of the Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic for 16 years and has published more than 45 original articles in professional journals and contributed to medical texts on the treatment of asthma, rhinitis, and ocular allergy.  He was on the faculty of the Medical College of Georgia for 25 years.   Throughout his career he has been involved in multiple research projects and frequently contributes to local, regional, national and international meetings. 

Dr. Spangler lives in Dunwoody with his wife, Amy.  He enjoys all types of sports and stained glass.
