Chandra received Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Human Biological Science in Anthropology from EmoryUniversity, Atlanta, Georgia, in 1998. During this time she worked on numerous research projects at Emory University, Grady Hospital, Yerkes Primate Center and Morehouse School of Medicine. Chandra completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia in 2001. She has worked for several hospitals in the Atlanta area, including the Emory University Hospital and Clinics as well as Morehouse Medical Associates. In 2009, Chandra earned her Masters of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner Certification.

Chandra is a member of the Georgia Nurses Association, The American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, The Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Society of Georgia, and The Food Allergy& Anaphylaxis Network.

Chandra lives in Senoia with her children. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and likes to read.
