Meet AAAC Nurse Katherine Spence

Katherine Spence has been a nurse with Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic for 22 years. Relationships with patients are one of her favorite parts of the job. "We often get to know generations of family members because allergies run in families," said Spence.

"Patients often remark that we feel like family to them."

As a nurse that sees patients over several years--you share births, graduations, weddings, and sometimes some sad things too. "We try to always be a sympathetic ear as well as their source for medical information and advice."
