Michael
Scott Carroll, M.D., is the senior partner of the Atlanta Allergy
and Asthma Clinic, having started in the practice in 1973. He received
his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, earned
his medical degree from the Medical School at St. Louis University,
and completed his pediatric training at Cardinal Glennon Children's
Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Following this Dr. Carroll joined
the United States Air Force at Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins,
Georgia where he practiced pediatrics for two years. He left there
to spend two years at the University of Michigan where he completed
his Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology.
Dr. Carroll is board certified by both the American Board of Pediatrics
and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He is a Fellow
of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the
American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Carroll
is a past president of the Georgia Allergy and Asthma Society and
presently on the steering committee for the Education Research Trust
Fund for the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
In 1996, Dr. Carroll wrote a book about nutrition entitled "BE
FAT FREE FOREVER". This book provides a metabolic approach
toward wellness and prevention, and serves as the foundation for
Doctors Care Weight Loss Healthy Living, Inc.
Dr. Carroll lives in Sandy Springs with his wife Roseanne. They
have two daughters and two sons. Dr. Carroll loves to play golf,
workout on Nordic Track and in-line skate. Being from Colorado,
he is an avid skier.

Dennis
L. Spangler, M.D., received his bachelor's degree from the University
of Akron in Akron, Ohio. He earned his medical degree from Ohio State
University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Spangler interned
at the Shands Teaching Hospital and completed his residency in Pediatrics.
He completed a fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the
Shands Teaching Hospital at the University of Florida.
Dr. Spangler is board certified by both the American Board of Allergy
and Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics. He is currently
a member of the Board of Regents of the American College of Allergy,
Asthma and Immunology, and Vice President of the American Association
of Certified Allergists. He is a member of the American Academy
of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
Dr. Spangler serves as Chief Medical Officer of the Atlanta Allergy
& Asthma Clinic and has published many articles in professional
journals and contributed to medical texts. Throughout his career
he has been involved in multiple research projects and frequently
contributes to local, regional and national meetings.
Dr. Spangler lives in Dunwoody with his wife Amy and their two
sons, Matthew and Adam. He enjoys all types of sports and stained
glass art.

Gary
Z. Lotner, M.D., received his Bachelor of Science degree from City
College of New
York. He earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of
Medicine. Dr. Lotner spent five years at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania, first as an intern,
then as a Pediatric resident and finally
as a Fellow in Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Prior to joining Atlanta
Allergy and Asthma Clinic, Dr. Lotner completed his training with
a second fellowship at the National Jewish Medical Research Center
in Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Lotner is board certified by both the American Board of Pediatrics
and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He is a fellow
of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, as well
as the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He is
past president of the Georgia Allergy and Immunology Society. Dr.
Lotner is currently vice president of Georgia Multi-Specialty Group,
a 700 physician organization in Atlanta. Dr. Lotner's main areas
of interest are the changing concepts of asthma and potential adverse
effects of asthma on the long term lung function.
Dr. Lotner lives in Sandy Springs with his wife, Sandra Cuttler,
a Technology Attorney. He has two children, Jessica and Daniel,
both attending graduate school. Dr. Lotner enjoys reading, comedy,
physical fitness and extensive international travel. Dr. Lotner
sees patients at our Northlake and Stockbridge locations.

Wilfred
(Kip) Q. Cole, III, M.D., received his bachelor's degree and earned
his master's degree from the University of Mississippi. He earned
his medical degree at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Dr. Cole completed his internship and residency in Pediatrics at the
University of Virginia Medical Center. He also has completed a fellowship
in Allergy and Immunology at the University of California San Francisco.
Dr. Cole is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics
and American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He is a member of
several professional medical organizations including the American
College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American Academy
of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
Dr. Cole, whose special interests include the areas of allergic
rhinitis and asthma, has published numerous articles in professional
journals including the Annals of Allergy, Pediatric Infectious Disease,
and the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
Dr. Cole resides in Alpharetta with his wife, Linda and their two
children. He enjoys travel, tennis and reading.

John
A. Zora, M.D., earned his medical degree from the Pennsylvania State
University.
While in medical school, Dr. Zora received research awards from the
university, as well as the American Heart Association for his work
in cardiovascular physiology. Dr. Zora received extensive training
at the Mayo Clinic including a pediatric residency and an Allergy
& Immunology Fellowship. During his Fellowship, Dr. Zora received
research awards from the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma &
Immunology, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He also earned
a Master's of Science degree at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Zora is board certified by both the American Board of Pediatrics,
and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He has served
as the President of the Allergy and Immunology Society of Georgia.
He has been Visiting Professor of Pediatrics at the Pennsylvania
State University School of Medicine, and a physician on staff for
the Children's Medical Services Chronic Lung Clinic. He is an Instructor
of Pediatrics at Emory University, and he is a member of the Adjuct
Facility at the Mercer University School of Pharmacy.
Dr. Zora has published numerous articles in professional journals
including the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, the Annals
of Allergy, and the Journal of Pediatrics. He has also served on
the Editorial Board of the Journal of Asthma, and has been a reviewer
for the Journal of Pediatrics, Section of Allergy and Immunology.
Dr. Zora lives in Dunwoody with his wife, Marian Finan, who is
a dermatopathologist. They have two children, Jennifer and Gregory.

Howard J. Silk, M.D., received his bachelor's degree at the State
University of New York at Binghamton. He earned both a
master's degree in Biochemistry and his medical degree from Boston
University Medical School. Dr. Silk completed his Pediatric residency
at Brown University / Rhode Island Hospital and his Allergy and Immunology
fellowship at Harvard Medical School / Children's Hospital of Boston.
Dr. Silk is Board Certified by both the American Board of Pediatrics
and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He is a member of
many professional medical organizations including the American Academy
of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology,
the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; the Allergy,
Asthma and Immunology Society of Georgia, the Medical Association
of Georgia and the Southeastern Allergy Association.
Dr. Silk has published numerous articles on asthma, sinusi tis and
immunodeficiency syndromes in professional journals including The
Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, The Annals of Allergy,
and The Journal of Asthma. He is a Clinical Faculty Instructor at
the Morehouse School of Pharmacy and has worked in the Allergy Clinic
at Scottish Rite Children's Hospital. Dr Silk has practiced with the
Atlanta Allergy and Asthma Clinic since 1987 where, in addition to
his clinical practice, he has championed the use of electronic medical
records to further improve clinic stan dards.
Dr. Silk, his wife Robyn, and their two children live in Sandy Springs.
He has coached boys and girls TBall, softball and base'ball and enjoys
travel, tennis, swimming, biking and reading. Dr. Silk sees patients
at our Fayetteville and Northlake locations.

Sandra
K. Roberson, M.D., received her bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from
the University of South Carolina. She attended the University of South
Carolina School of Medicine where she earned her medical degree. Afterwards,
she completed a three year residency in Pediatrics with the Greenville
Hospital System in Greenville, South Carolina before completing a
two year fellowship in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology at Children's
National Medical Center, George Washington University Hospital in
Washington, DC. Dr. Roberson received additional training at Walter
Reed Army Medical Center and the National Institute of Health.
Dr. Roberson is board certified by both the American Board of Allergy
and Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics. She is also
a board certified Pharmacist. Dr. Roberson is a member of the American
College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American Academy
of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, American Academy of Pediatrics
and the American Pharmaceutical Association.
Dr. Roberson has published several articles in professional journals
including the Annals of Allergy and the Journal of Allergy and Clinical
Immunology. She is presently on the Editorial Board of the Annals
of Allergy.
Dr. Roberson is married to Kevin Coughlin and lives in Sandy Springs.
Her personal interests include boating, golf, sports and travel.

Kathleen
A. Sheerin, M.D., received her bachelor's degree at Mount Holyoke
College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. She earned her medical degree
from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Sheerin completed
her residency at Texas Children's Hospital/ Baylor College of Medicine
in Houston, Texas where she also spent a year completing a fellowship
in Pediatric Rheumatology. She then completed a three-year fellowship
in Allergy and Immunology at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
Dr. Sheerin is board certified by both the American Board of Pediatrics
and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. She is a Fellow
of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American
Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the American Academy
of Pediatrics. Dr. Sheerin is actively involved with both patient
& family asthma education and is the founder of Breathe Georgia,
a not-for -profit organization whose mission is to improve asthma
care through education. Dr. Sheerin also handles media relations
for the practice. She is the vice chair of the Public Education
Committee of the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology.
Dr. Sheerin is married to Mark Moncino, M.D., who practices pediatrics.
They have two sons, Harrison and Owen. In her spare time, she enjoys
golf and walking with her two children.

D. Tanner, M.D., received his Bachelor of Science degree from the
University of Georgia and earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt
University. He completed his internship and residency at St. Louis
Children's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, affiliated with Washington
University. Dr. Tanner served as Chief Resident of the hospital from
1976-1977 while completing a fellowship in Ambulatory Pediatrics.
He subsequently completed a fellowship in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology
at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Tanner is board certified by both the American Board of Allergy
and Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a Fellow
of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and of
the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He is active
in the MAG and a member of AMA.
Dr. Tanner held positions on both the Board of the Medical Association
of Metropolitan Atlanta, where he served as President from 1993-1994,
and the Board of the Medical Association of Georgia. He is the Secretary-Treasurer
of the Allergy and Immunology Society of Georgia. Dr. Tanner is
an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Department of
Allergy and Immunology at Emory University and serves as a volunteer
at Grady Hospital's Allergy and Asthma Clinic.
Dr. Tanner and his wife, Leslie, live in Atlanta and have three
children. He stays busy helping them with their school activities,
studies and sports. He occupies his leisure time with running, tennis
and gardening.

Frank
L. McCafferty, Jr., M.D., received his undergraduate degree from the

Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. There, he also served as a Fellow
in the Department of Heart and Hypertension Research.

Linda
D. Guydon, M.D., received her bachelor's degree from Mercer University
in Macon, Georgia. She earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical
School in Boston, Massachusetts and went on to complete her internship
and residency in Internal Medicine at Boston City Hospital. Dr. Guydon
relocated to Atlanta where she joined Southeastern Health Services
(PruCare) and practiced General Internal Medicine from 1983-1988.
In 1988, she joined the Atlanta Medical Associates where she served
as co-founder and Medical Director of the Immediate Care Center until
1992. In 1992, she began a fellowship at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions
in the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
Dr. Guydon is board certified by both the American Board of Internal
Medicine and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and is
a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical
Immunology. Her special areas of interests include the management
of asthma and sinus disease.
Dr. Guydon has published several articles in professional journals
including the Journal of Allergy, Asthma & Clinical Immunology,
Pediatric Asthma, Allergy & Immunology and Respiratory Critical
Care Medicine.

Michael Halwig, M.D., received his bachelor's degree at Johns Hopkins
University in Baltimore, Maryland. He earned his medical degree from
Northwestern University Medical School where he also completed his
residency in Internal Medicine. He concluded his training at Northwestern
University Medical School with a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology.
Dr. Halwig is board certified by both the American Board of Allergy
and Immunology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is
an Assistant Clinical Professor at Emory University School of Medicine
where he is active in the education of physicians-in-training and
medical students.
Dr. Halwig is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma
and Immunology and of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and
Immunology. He is a past president of the Allergy, Asthma and Immunology
Society of Georgia. He has written several scientific articles which
have been published in professional journals including the Journal
of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American Review of Respiratory
Disease, and Chest. Dr. Halwig also conducts a number of speaking
engagements for patients and healthcare providers each year.
Dr. Halwig's special areas of interest include the management of
asthma in infancy, anaphylaxis and chronic urticaria.
Dr. Halwig lives in Vinings, with his wife, Nancy and their two
children, Courtney and Christopher. He enjoys running, listening
to jazz, reading, deep sea fishing and spending time with this family.

Dr.
Dr. Stanley M. Fineman, M.D., M.B.A., has been in private allergy
practice for 26 years. He earned his medical degree from Emory
University School of Medicine and completed his internship and
residency in Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati. Following
this he did his Allergy and Immunology fellowship at Harvard University
School of Medicine in Boston.
Dr. Fineman received his MBA at
Kennesaw State University and is board certified by both the American
Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.
He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology,
the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American
Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Fineman received the Distinguished Fellow
award by the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
Dr. Fineman has served as president of the Allergy and Immunology Society
of Georgia, the Cobb Area Pediatric Society, the Cobb County Medical
Society and the Southeastern Allergy Association.
He is currently President of the Joint Council of Allergy Asthma & Immunology.
Dr. Fineman has served on the Board of Regents of the American College of Allergy,
Asthma and Immunology. In that organization, he also serves as co-chairman
of the Managed Care Committee, and co-chairman of the ACAAI/AAAAI Joint
Task Force for the Development of Practice Parameters. Dr. Fineman has
been a Regional Governor for the Regional State and Local Societies of the
American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. On a local level, Dr.
Fineman has been active in the American Lung Association of Georgia and has
been named 'Professional of the Year' in 1985 and 1996.
Dr. Fineman is Clinical Associate Professor, Allergy division, Department of Pediatrics,
Emory University School of Medicine. He has authored over thirty scientific
papers and has written several book chapters on various topics in the field
of Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Fineman currently serves on the editorial
boards of the medical journals Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and
Pediatric Asthma Allergy & Immunology as well as a contributing editor for
the publication Allergy Watch.
Dr. Fineman lives in Marietta with
his wife, Judy. They have three children, Aaron, Amy and Rob. He enjoys
golf, skiing, drums and jogging. His most memorable athletic achievements
were the successful completion of the New York, Boston, Chicago & Atlanta
marathons.

Louis
B. Kalish, M.D., received his bachelor's degree from the University
of Florida. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College
of Georgia where he also completed an internship and residency in
Pediatrics. He acquired his Allergy and Clinical Immunology specialty
training at the University of Tennessee at Memphis.
Dr. Kalish is board certified by both the American Board of Pediatrics
and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He is a Fellow
of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the
American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. Dr. Kalish is
also involved with the Allergy and Immunology Society of Georgia
and Cobb Medical Society.
Dr. Kalish is actively involved with both patient and family asthma
education programs. He has authored both scientific papers and abstracts
regarding medications used in the treatment of asthma and exercise-induced
asthma.
Dr. Kalish resides in East Cobb with his wife, Betty and their
three children, Joshua, Sara and Hannah. His interests outside the
office include running, travel, and spending time with his family.

Morton
P. Galina, M. D., earned his medical degree from Tufts University
Medical School, and completed both his internship and residency in
Pediatrics at the Bronx Municipal Hospital in New York City. He then
joined the United States Air Force as a Captain and served as Chief
of Pediatrics at Charleston Air Force Base in South Carolina. After
his discharge, he went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Allergy
at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Galina is board certified by both the American Board of Allergy,
Asthma and Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics. He is
an active member of several professional and medical organizations
including: Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and
Immunology, Fellow of the American Association of Certified Allergists,

and a member of the Allergy and Immunology Society of Georgia.
Dr. Galina is married to Brenda Moss Galina, and has a daughter,

Maricelis
H. Armstrong, M.D., began her career at the University of Puerto Rico
where she received her bachelor's degree in Biology at the Mayaguez
campus and earned her medical degree at the campus in San Juan. Dr
Armstrong then went to the Tulane University School of Medicine in
New Orleans, Louisiana where she completed her residency in Pediatrics
as well as a fellowship in adult and pediatric Allergy and Immunology.
Dr. Armstrong is board certified by The American Board of Pediatrics
and is currently Board eligible in Allergy and Immunology. She is
a member of both The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology
and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Armstrong has a special interest in asthma and immunodeficiency
and is actively involved in clinical research and educational activities
in the community. A native of Puerto Rico she is fluent in both
English and Spanish.
Dr. Armstrong, her husband Juan Carlos Armstrong, M.D., a pulmonologist,
and their son J.C. live in Smyrna. Her personal interests include
travel, reading, and spending time with her family.

David W. Carlton, M.D., earned his medical degree
from Emory University School of Medicine. He completed his internship
and residency in Internal Medicine at the Naval Medical Center in
Portsmouth, Virginia. He then practiced as a staff Internist at the
Naval Hospital in Pensacola, Florida for three years. After that he
completed his fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the Wilford Hall
Medical Center on Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He
returned to the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia where he
served as Chief of Allergy and Immunology for two years. He left the
US Navy after ten years of service including a recent deployment to
the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Dr. Carlton is board certified by the American Board of Allergy and
Immunology as well as the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a
member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the
American College of Physicians. Dr. Carlton has a special interest in the
medical management of sinusitis and treatment of venom hypersensitivity.
Dr. Carlton lives in Rome with his wife, Dagmar, and their three children.
He enjoys reading, golf, and southern history.

Kevin L. Schaffer, MD received his bachelor's degree from the University
of Memphis. He earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee.
He completed his internship and residency in Pediatrics from Stanford
University where he also received his specialty training in Allergy and
Immunology.
Dr. Schaffer is Board Certified by both the American Board of Pediatrics
and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He is a Fellow of the
American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and of the American College
of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He is the current President of the Georgia
Society of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
Dr. Schaffer has been actively involved in clinical research, serving as
the Principal Investigator of numerous trials and has published articles in
medical journals.
In his spare time, Dr. Schaffer enjoys hiking, tennis, travel and spending
time with his family.

Susan Braker is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has been with the
Atlanta Allergy and Asthma Clinic since 1994. She currently sees patients at our
Canton and Gwinnett locations.
Susan received her bachelor's degree in Nursing from the State University of
New York at Buffalo. She enjoyed working at Hackensack Medical Center in a Medical
ICU prior to relocating to Atlanta in 1991. Susan then completed her graduate
degree at Georgia State University earning a Masters of Science in Nursing in 1994.
Susan resides in East Cobb with her three children.
She enjoys running, cooking and engaging in various sporting activities with her family.
