The Atlanta Allergy & Asthma daily pollen count process is experiencing some technical issues.
Last week, the motor on our pollen count equipment gave out during the 24-hour collection period. Once we confirmed the error, we issued a retraction of that day’s number. We installed our temporary back-up equipment and checked that it was operating correctly. This weekend’s rain and cooler temperatures complicated the situation but after reexamining the counts from the past few days, we have doubts as to their accuracy. Due to this complication, today’s count will not be available.
The new equipment will arrive on Tuesday afternoon and once we can confirm that the data it is producing is 100% accurate, we will resume publishing the daily pollen count.
