Modern Luxury Medicine + Doctors magazine recognizes three Atlanta Allergy & Asthma physicians among Castle Connolly’s Exceptional Women in Medicine 2023

Atlanta Allergy & Asthma is proud to announce that three of our physicians appear in the August issue of Modern Luxury Medicine + Doctors magazine Castle Connolly’s Exceptional Women in Medicine for 2023.

The following Atlanta Allergy & Asthma physicians are recognized by Castle Connolly Top Doctors for their outstanding leadership, expertise, and dedication in their field: Drs. Erinn Gardner, Lily Hwang, and Kathleen Sheerin. Atlanta Allergy & Asthma physicians make up 75% of women recognized in the Allergy & Immunology category. In addition, Dr. Lily Hwang was recently named as a Castle Connolly Top Asian American and Pacific Islander Doctor 2023.

The Exceptional Women in Medicine list is compiled through a rigorous selection process that includes peer nominations, extensive research, and evaluation by the Castle Connolly research team. In addition to meeting the criteria to be selected as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor, the 2023 Castle Connolly Exceptional Women in Medicine doctors also have additional qualifications, including contributions to healthcare through volunteer work, awards and honors, training at top institutions, contributions to research and academics, and innovations in their field of specialty.

We would like to recognize our acclaimed doctors for being honored among Castle Connolly’s Exceptional Women in Medicine. This recognition is a testament to Atlanta Allergy & Asthma’s commitment to providing premier, cutting-edge allergy, asthma, and immunology care.

Erinn T. Gardner, M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. She earned her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Dr. Gardner did her residency training in internal medicine at Northwestern University and then completed her fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology at Northwestern University and Northwestern University Children’s Memorial Hospital. Dr. Gardner is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, and the Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Society of Georgia. She sees patients at the Canton and Fayetteville locations.

Lily G. Hwang, M.D. is board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Pediatrics. She earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed a residency in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics and Women’s Health Certification from Michigan State University/Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies. She did a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Rush University Medical Center/John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital, Chicago, IL. She is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Society of Georgia, the American College of Physicians, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She practices at the Alpharetta and Lawrenceville locations.

Kathleen A. Sheerin, M.D. is board certified by both the American Board of Allergy & Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Sheerin earned her medical degree from Duke University and did her residency training at Texas Children’s Hospital. She completed fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology at Duke University. Dr. Sheerin is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She practices at the Lawrenceville and Sandy Springs locations.
