Atlanta Allergy & Asthma News

In an effort to mitigate the EpiPen shortage during back-to-school season, the FDA has extended the expiration date on certain lots of EpiPens. The indicated lots, pens that have expired or are close to expiring, have been deemed safe for an additional four months.

The link below provides the lot numbers. Additionally, Mylan encourages patients to call 800.796.9526 for assistance in locating alternative pharmacies carrying epinephrine auto-injectors. They have extended Customer Relations hours to Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET, and Saturday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET.
